Orchid Pictures
The New York Botanical Gardens is running a special orchid exhibit. This seemed like a good opportunity for me to go and practice taking pictures since I don't otherwise take many during the winter.
The conservatory where the orchids were housed was quite crowded so taking finding a good spot was sometimes tricky. The lighting was also pretty poor so I ended up using my flash all of the time. In many cases the light from the flash was too harsh, but I think I managed to get some good pictures of the orchids.

Sorry! I missed your comment when it was first posted. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. It was taking the orchid pictures. I'll have to go back to the show the next time it's in town.
Wonderful pictures. I especially liked the periwinkle colour.
