Enjoy the Canjun Setting of the Bayou Cabins B&B in Breaux Bridge, Lousiana
If you like rustic charm, good food and Cajun music, I suggest you travel to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and stay at the Bayou Cabins Bed & Breakfast.
The eight cabins offer the atmosphere of an old Cajun setting. Upon arrival, each guest receives a Cajun lagniappe, or welcoming gift, consisting of delicious homemade snacks. We enjoyed ours while watching a family of ducks from our cabin's large back porch.
That night, we walked over to famous Mulate's Cajun Restaurant and enjoyed a good meal while listening and dancing to a Cajun band. Enjoy some crawfish–Breaux Bridge is the “Crawfish Capital of the World”!
The next morning at the adjacent Bayou Boudin & Cracklin Cafe, we thoroughly enjoyed a huge breakfast of eggs and smoked ham, topped off by beignets (light square doughnuts). They were the best beignets I've ever eaten. Owner Lisa Sonnier shared her recipe with me but swore me to secrecy.
