Review of the i5R EOS EDC Flashlight: An Ultra Bright and Compact Choice
If you're looking to buy a flashlight, the i5R EOS EDC flashlight has many features that make it stand out from the crowd. As its name implies, the i5R EOS offers users everything they need in an everyday carry (EDC) light — portability, convenience, reliability and power — without sacrificing brightness or lumens per dollar spent on its competitors.

Introduction
The newest addition to my flashlight collection is the i5R EOS EDC flashlight. This light has a wide range of features that make it perfect for an EDC flashlight. The body is made from aluminum alloy, so it's lightweight but strong. It also has a reflective head, which makes it possible to use as a handheld or headlamp light.
Features
It's a tough choice when picking out an EDC flashlight. There are so many options that it can be difficult to find one that has all the features you need. This is why I was happy to stumble across the i5R EOS, which has a perfect combination of style, size, brightness, and quality. It's small enough to fit in your pocket or on your keychain but offers a powerful beam that's great for any situation. The flashlight also has an easy to use interface with a variety of modes including strobe, SOS, and beacon. What really sets this one apart though is the fact that it uses long-lasting CR123A batteries instead of rechargeable cells. You can easily find these types of batteries at your local grocery store (or order them online). They last longer than most rechargeable cells and tend to have better performance in extreme temperatures as well.
First Impressions
The packaging for the flashlight is simple and minimal, but it does a great job at showing off how powerful this little light can be. The features are listed on one side in both English and Chinese, with a QR code on the back that takes you to their website. We’ve tested the flashlights output against other similar brands and models, and found that while it might not have as much throw as some others out there (around 40-50 meters), its brightness makes up for it.
It has a water-resistant rating of IPX-6 which means it will protect from water jets from all directions. However, keep in mind that these lights are not made for deep dives or submersion into water.
The light only has an ON/OFF button, but is easy enough to operate with one hand due to its size. It’s got three brightness levels; high, medium and low—and even strobe modes!
Design and Build Quality
The i5R EOS is an ultralight, compact, and affordable flashlight that doesn't sacrifice power. The light is made from a durable aluminum alloy with a surface hardness of 60-65 Hrc. It's powered by 1 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries for maximum runtime. With a sturdy clip on both sides, this light can be stored in your pocket when not in use or clipped to your belt to provide hands-free illumination while working.
Performance
The lumens are quite impressive for the size. The beam is a little on the tight side, but it does what it's supposed to do. With all that said, I can't say enough about how small this thing is! It fits in my jeans pocket with a little room to spare. I have mine clipped to my belt loop right now, and I barely even notice it there. It's great for camping trips when you don't want to pack a bulky flashlight like your Maglite or something similar.
Comparisons with other similar flashlights
The i5R EOS is a compact, lightweight, ultra-bright flashlight that is perfect for all sorts of tasks. It has a push button on/off switch which makes it easy to use. The built in USB charging port is also convenient, allowing you to charge your phone with the same cable you charge your light with. The only drawback I could see was that this light does not have an SOS or strobe mode so it's not ideal for emergencies. Overall though, this is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality EDC light! The ergonomic design and high lumens make the i5R EOS our top choice for an everyday carry light. The beam distance is sufficient enough to give adequate vision, yet still concentrated enough to show you what’s right in front of you if necessary.
When looking at price versus value, we found that the price of the i5R EOS meets its value through durable construction and its compact size making it easy to store on any keychain or bag strap–making it a great addition to any prepper’s pack! With its 10 different modes as well as being able to be charged through usb, this is a great choice for EDC purposes.
The bottom line
This flashlight is an ultra-bright and compact choice for everyday use. I think that this is a great flashlight for anyone who is looking for a reliable light with many features, but does not want to spend a lot of money.
I really liked how bright this flashlight was. It can be very handy in any situation as it has three different modes- low, medium, high- each at a different brightness level. The modes are easily accessible on the side so you can quickly switch between them without fumbling through any settings when you need it most.
This light also has a strong grip which makes it easier to hold onto while you are running or doing other tasks which require your hands to be free.
