Do You Want Maximum Relaxation? Then Work an Hour on the Weekend for your Studies – Like This

Brain workers (and that includes you as a student) don't get free relaxation. It is rather the case that modern students have to work out their time off first. It is not enough to lie down comfortably on the sofa. You don't turn off your head with it; your mind won't stop circling for the next exam just because you put your feet up.

Three good news: first, it doesn't take much effort, second, you only need an hour to do it, and third, with the help of the following plan, you'll become a better student on the side. Sounds good? Then take 60 minutes and save your weekend – like this:

Create Order!

One of the most common reasons for imbalance is clutter. In the apartment, on the desk, in your head. Therefore, the first step to more recovery is to create order. By that I don't mean that you should do an extensive spring cleaning and polish your four walls to a high gloss, but: Bring order to your study documents and your thoughts.

Gather your books neatly on a shelf, tidy your bag or backpack, sort your collection of papers into different folders and clear out your college pads. Clean up the clutter in your paperwork so it doesn't give you a sense of clutter.

Then you go one step further and transfer the ordering action to your most important asset: your head. Collect your thoughts and ideas on a list and create a complete collection of all the things that are currently on your mind. Write everything down and put it in an external place (outside your head). In this article, I'll show you exactly how to do it.

Repeat your Lecture!

After you have put things in order, you now switch to the content level of your studies and recap the university events that you have attended over the past week. Try to understand your lectures, seminars, and exercises individually and go through your notes. Of course, this requires a lot of time, which is quite hard to come by as a student. Grab a manuscript or a suitable textbook and read through the relevant passages from the past week. Take no more than three to five minutes for each of your modules and skim the most important content. You don't have to absorb every piece of information or work on a perfect summary at the same time. It's just a matter of reading up on the different topics. Calculated over the entire semester, this technique gives you several hours of reading time, which not only gives you a better overall understanding but also continuously improves your learning progress. You stay on the ball, so to speak, and build up a comfortable knowledge base for the upcoming exam preparation with little effort.

Set Goals for the Next Week!

Your past university week is over. Time to take a look into the future and write down your goals for the next week. Because only if you determine today what you want to achieve tomorrow can you determine the exact path to get there and take the right steps. Otherwise not.

Once you have a plan for the week ahead, you can switch off and enjoy your weekend to the fullest. You no longer have to worry about what you have to do when and which appointments you mustn't forget. After all, these goals have already been set and are on your weekly schedule.

To do this, create a new to-do list for the coming week and enter all the tasks, appointments, and information that you must not forget. Be detailed and define intermediate steps and a fixed deadline for each task. It's not about developing a busy weekly schedule that drives you; rather, all loose ends should be collected on a list so that you can clear your head and don't have to waste mental energy.
