Indiana Hoops Hall of Fame
INDIANA is crazy about high school basketball. And the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle is the best place around to experience "Hoosier hysteria".
I've been volunteering here for 13 years, and have never seen anything like it. You can hear a locker room pep talk from legendary coach John Wooden...relive the 1954 "Milan Miracle", which inspired the movie Hoosiers...and see tributes to greats like Larry Bird. Mascots, uniforms and spirit buttons get their due, too.
Don't miss a chance to sink a shot at the buzzer to win the state championship--and hear the crowd go wild!--or see how you'd fare blocking a jump shot by Oscar Robertson.
New Castle is in east-central Indiana on State Highway 38, about 40 miles east of Indianapolis and 6 miles north of I-70. The Hall of Fame is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children ages 5-12.
