Steps that will Help you Improve your Body Image

Stop Negative Thoughts
The first thing you need to do is try and take steps to try and stop your negative thoughts. A good place to start would be for you to try and turn your self-talk around. Recognise and appreciate the things that your body can do for you every day, and how you can be good at things. It may be that you are very crafty, or that you can fix a flat tyre without any help. Either way, you need to help yourself by writing down the things that you happen to love about yourself and that make you feel confident. This will give you a lot of perspective about things, and it will also help you to see things through a clearer lens. If you feel as though you need to make a change, then you can list things you don't like, as it could help you to make a change. The way you see your body should be no different either. Shut down the Comparison Game
Another thing you need to do is try and shut down the comparison game. You might have seen this one coming from a mile away, but either way, you need to stop comparing your body to others, as this is one of the best ways for you to send your self-esteem into a spiral. The impact of social media is huge at the end of the day, and it can also send you into a deep pit of feeling bad about yourself. If you see content you don't resonate with, then it may be that you hit a block or hide. This is a good step to feeling better within yourself.
