Wisconsin Travel
On the map of America the fist of Wisconsin delivers an uppercut to Lake Superior while its thumb pokes out, like a hitchhiker’s, into Lake Michigan. That hand is a beautiful appendage, clothed in cool north woods and rolling green pastureland and studded with diamond-blue glacial lakes. The quiet Mississippi, which delineates much of Wisconsin’s western border, is edged with dramatic limestone and sandstone bluffs. Other rivers twine through the deep forests, sometimes driven to frothy rage by melting snow.
