What National Parks Are Good To Visit In The Winter?

Planning a getaway in Feb. Can you suggest a National Park?

park_lov answered:
It all depends on whether you like snow or not. Most of our national parks will have some amount of snow during the month of February.

If you want to avoid snow, pick a park in the south at lower elevations like Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Sajuaro, Carlsbad Caverns, Big Bend, Hot Springs, Everglades, Biscayne, Hawaii Volcanoes, Haleakala, etc. If you want to play in the snow then go to any park in the north or at higher elevations.

Personally, I'm thinking of doing some snowshoeing in Yosemite this winter. Other parks to choose from include Sequoia, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain among many others.
