Will Trade Food for SEO
If you're a hungry SEO living in New York, send me your resume. My employer (an SEO/SEM agency) is hiring and we keep a kitchen stocked with food. Sure you'll get to work on great SEO projects with a great SEO team, but we all know the real reason for joining is the free food and drink you'll have access to.
So what will you be doing in between meals? That'll depend on your experience. If you're new to the field, we'll teach you real-world SEO with actual projects and I don't mean optimizing our corporate website. If you've got some previous SEO experience we'll give you more autonomy to set the strategy and execute the tactics necessary to increase rankings, traffic, and conversions for web-based businesses.
For those of you in-house SEOs, you'll be able to leave behind the isolation of being the lone SEO and instead become part of an SEO team. That means being around others that have an interest in YOUR industry making for a great learning (and teaching) environment.
If you happen to be at an agency already, take a moment to consider your current situation. There's a good chance that you feel like a small fish in a big pond if you're at one of the big shops. It's practically impossible to have any significant impact in such situations. On the other end of the spectrum, working at a really small shop means you're probably a couple of years away from career growth potential. Are you sure you want to wait around for opportunities that may never materialize?
Send your resume to resumes@allthingssem.com. I'll personally deliver promising candidates to our HR Director giving you a boost compared to other applications. So what are you waiting for!?
