Blog Aggregators
So if you're at the point where you're writing your own blog, you've probably already spent some time reading other blogs. From what I've seem, people normally track the various blogs of interest using standard web browser bookmarks/favorites.
But there's something better: blog (news) aggregators. All the ones I've tried look and behave in a similar fashion. For the moment, I've settled on SharpReader (a play on words because it is written using C# a.k.a. C-Sharp).
Even though I have my preferred reader, it is lacking in some key features. I would like to be able to store a comment about the blog I've subscribed to. Or perhaps be able to assign a rating. Why? Because when I first come across a new blog I can't really tell if I'm going to like it. Some look really promising, but then fizzle out.
An alternative would be some automated process that tracks what you read and then determines what blogs you like and don't like. Blogs you don't like would get moved to the bottom of your list.
So why don't I write my own "super-aggregator"? I suppose I could, but it probably wouldn't pay as well as my real job
