What Are The Health Benefits Of Tofu?
What are the health benefits of replacing chicken in things like stir fry by using tofu? I am not a vegetarian, but I am trying to cut down on meat. Is there any beneficial reason to eat tofu instead? If it makes any difference, I'm also trying to lose about 6 lbs.

Good source of protein with minimal fat. For women it regulates your hormones due to its estrogen content, though for men just two servings of soya/tofu a week can lower sperm count. I think it's good for your heart but I'm not sure about that one.

Chicken's are fed large amounts of antibiotics and growth hormones, by eating tofu instead you're missing out on all that yucky stuff
With chicken you have to worry about under cooking it. Tofu can be eaten raw. The calorie count in stir fried tofu probably isn't all that much lower then stir fried chicken (with the fat and skin removed).

Tofu is a good source of protein, and if properly prepared it's absolutely delicious. Because of the intense methods used in factory farming today, chickens are pumped full of antibiotics, hormones, and fed things you DON"T even want to know about!

Tofu has a pretty good amount of protein if your replacing meats. Although whole soy products like Miso or Tempeh are better for you. Whole soy, ounce for ounce had more digestable/usable proteins than almost any cooked meats.
