This sort of thing has been circulating for a while, but this is a great example of how we can read words even when the order of the letters is mixed up.

  2. Not really. What this note fails to show is that you first need knowledge of the correctly spelled word before you can read the above. Try it with a friend. invent a word that he never heard or read before then spell it as above. There is no way your friend will pronounce the correct word. You need prior knowledge of a correctly spelled word.
    Therefore spelling is still important (even thought I'm terrible at it :-( )
