What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for partners to join my online publishing effort. I've got an existing web site (you're looking at it) that covers a number of topics. The site is established with around 30,000 views a month with a 20% year-over-year increase, but of course there's plenty of room to grow.
The ideal candidate is someone that has an interest in and knowledge of one of the categories on this site. The hope is that you will take charge and own a sub-category i.e. not just write a single article and be done.
Note that I'm not looking for guest writers, but actual partners interested in the success of their content on this site. If you're joining primarily to promote a product or service of yours, please move on.
What's In It For You?
This site is monetized via Google AdSense and I'm offering 100% of the ad revenue that your articles generate. Please have realistic expectations. Your content may not immediately get traction and generating significant (or any) revenue may take some time.
Hopefully you're also excited about the prospect of writing and adding to your portfolio. This will also give you a chance to try different promotional tactics such as using Pinterest or Twitter to show off what you've written. You'll be able to do this without having to worry about the technical aspects of maintaining a web site.
How Will You Get Paid?
If you have a Google Adsense publisher ID, I can associate that with your posts and you'll be paid automatically by Google. Note that this ID is public and there's no risk in sharing. You can see mine by looking at the code of this website if you want. With your own AdSense account you'll also be able to check on the performance of your pages any time you want. If you don't want to sign up with Google Adsense, I can do the math on my side, but that'll require a little trust on your part.
What Can You Write About?
The main categories of this site are Technology, Money Management, Hobbies & Leisure, Travel, Health & Fitness, and Pets & Animals. Anything that fits within those categories should work. I think you'll have better results if you pick a sub-category and focus on that category. For example, you probably can't cover every Money Management topic, but you could cover a good deal about investing with exchange traded funds.
- It's easy. Just submit your first article!
- If you've got one, include your Google AdSense publisher ID. This is NOT your login, but a public ID Google uses to track your ad revenue.
Note: All submissions will be reviewed before they go live to ensure quality. Don't take offense. Instead, think of it as ensuring that your contributions aren't marred by junk that others might try to post if content wasn't first reviewed.
Feel free to ask any questions!
