If I could garden all day I would. It's such a peaceful pursuit with tangible rewards that I wonder if I lived in the countryside in a previous life. Alas, someone's got to pay the bills so gardening, throughout my life, has been mostly a weekend activity.
There's a lot to know when it comes to gardening. Not just about the plants and flowers you like, but also about the soil conditions you'll have to deal with, the weather extremes in your area, and the animal life that could impact plant growth.
While I won't pretend to know all the ins and outs of every situation, I have done my best to capture what I've experienced or read about so that I might help you enjoy this wonderful hobby even more.
